When to suspect Tuberculosis?

  • Fever that lasts weeks or months.
  • Cough – For weeks or months, it can be dry or moist.
  • Loss of weight due to poor eating habits.
  • Ache in the abdomen/loose motions/swelling in the neck or axilla/chest pain.
  • Patch on chest X-ray or Tuberculosis in the family.
  • Meet with a pulmonologist; a chest X-ray, blood test, sputum, and bronchoscopy may be required.
  • The condition can be cured with proper diagnosis and therapy.
